Hideous beyond belief, yet regal. Like a long dead king of old left to rot in some barrow, who had emerged to make himself master of this land.

–Chapter 29, House of Sky and Breath

The Under-King was one of the seven Heads of Lunathion and had control over the Bone Quarter. He was the leader of the House of Flame and Shadow.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

The Under-King's age and precise origin are unknown. He claimed to hail from a place between the stars that has no name and never shall; to have come from a world governed by a cauldron of life, Wyrd.[1] He told Hunt Athalar that he knew of the Void the Princes of Hel worship, as it birthed him as well. The Under-King was something ancient and terrible.
