Sobeks are a species of beasts that appear to live in rivers and marshes. Some are living beneath the surface of the Istros River, apparently listening to the River Queen. They eat anything and everything: fresh meat, trash, and, perhaps most important, the bodies of the shameful dead who failed during their Sailing.
Physical Description[]
Sobeks have scaly, powerful, muscled bodies and either long or broad snouts. They are full of thick, daggerlike fangs. Their eyes have slitted pupils amid green-marbled citrine.
Trivia[]
- Tharion Ketos mentions that sobeks might know better than to fuck with the Mer, but a female beast would go down snapping for her young.
- It appears that the sobeks might be inspired by real-world crocodiles or alligators.
