Sirius was one of the seven Asteri and the first one to be killed.
Biography[]
During the First Wars, Sirius was attacked and killed by Apollion, one of the demon Princes of Hel, which earned him the moniker "Star-Eater." Her death subsequently became the subject of a ballad, which had become a favorite around war-camp fires.
House of Earth and Blood[]
Sirius was referred to when Rigelus is seen on the news giving a speech on new trade laws, with his fellow Asteri seated behind him on their thrones. It is mentioned that the seventh throne was, as always, left empty in honor of her.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Firstlight and Secondlight Manipulation: Like all the Asteri, Sirius could manipulate the power of firstlight and secondlight to achieve God-like feats. This resulted in the people of Midgard believing that the Asteri housed the power of a star within themselves.
- Energy Absorption: Like all the Asteri, Sirius consumed firstlight and secondlight to increase her power to that of a god. However, it was alluded to that this power was not infinite and without regular consumption, her powers would have weakened over time.
- Body Jumping: Like all the Asteri, Sirius could transfer her own essence into the body of others. But due to the nature of her power, the host body would eventually waste away from the toll.
Trivia[]
- The name Sirius comes from the Greek word meaning "glowing." Sirius is the brightest star in the Canis Major constellation, and is the brightest star in the night sky.[1]
- After her death, it is presumed that Sirius's remains were eaten by the Star-Eater, earning him that title.
