Silene was the youngest daughter of Queen Theia.
Biography[]
Silene was born to Queen Theia and High King Fionn, only five years after her sister Helena. They grew up in the Fae Homeworld and while both were raised as royalty, none of them had the wish to rule. Their mother, however, had an appetite for power and went on to kill her husband, after he announced he wanted to give his throne to his eldest daughter to make space for a new generation. With Theia on the throne, she thought about her legacy and wished for both of her daughter to rule - nothing less than a whole world each. With the help of her High General, Pelias, they crossed into a new world - Midgard. The Fae soon had to learn that the world was aleady inhabited and so Theia fought a war against them. They only learned later, that the Asteri, their old masters, whom they had overthrown, helped Pelias to lure them into Midgard. While Theia decided to fight, she gave parts of the Dread Trove - the Horn and the Harp - to her daughters, along with some part of her Starborn powers. Both Helena and Silene tried to flee, to bring the Horn and the Harp back into their home world and thus banning the Asteri from ever crossing into other worlds again, but ultimately Helena sent her sister through the portal alone and stayed back. Silene locked the Fae out of their homeworld, refusing to even take the children, and leaving them to the Asteri's cruelty in Midgard.
Back home alone, Silene took it upon herself to both erase their history from their lands, but also keep the story alive - even thouh hidden on the island she formerly called home. She used her powers to carve her mother's story into the stone, warded it against outsiders and then proceeded to hunt down the monsters the Asteri had created and trapped them on the island.
After that, she found her mate - the son of the High Lord of the newly formed Night Court - and married him. Even though he wanted to make her his High Lady, she refused, having seen what power had done to her mother. When her son was born, she brought him to the caves of the island, and keyed the wards into his bood. Only when he was older, she told him what she had left to him. She watched her son and her grandchildren and their children in return grow up, fighting for life and spinning stories of her mother into legend, erasing both herself and her sister from it, to keep her world safe.
