Reapers are a species of Vanir belonging to the House of Flame and Shadow.

Physical Description[]

A Reaper's voice is a hoarse rasp. They have acid-green eyes and bear the mark of their death. They are dead Vanir who cannot eat, sleep, enjoy anything but have their minds. They only can float/wander around aimlessly.

In House of Flame and Shadow, Chapter 68, a Lion-Shifter reaper (assumedly the male that Bryce slept with in the White Raven in House of Earth and Blood) tries to help Ithan and Hypaxia with the parasite antidote.

Powers & Abilities[]

Reapers have a ghostly presence that can make people's hair stand on edge. They have no scent whatsoever, not even the reek of a corpse, as if they don't even exist.

Trivia[]

  • Though Reapers are said to be immune against killing, the Starsword is able to do just that.
  • Thanatos would reveal that alongside the Vampyrs, the Reapers were also once subordinate to them, but soon joined the side of the Asteri during Hel’s invasion of Midgard thousands of years ago.
