Midgard is the planet on which the Crescent City series takes place.
History
The official history says that the Vanir originally came through the Northern Rift, which allowed them to become inhabitants of Midgard. This meant that the humans, who were the original inhabitants, spent the next fifteen thousand years in a state of near-slavery as prey, food, and whores. However, in recent centuries, the Imperial Senate had granted humans more rights.
Unbeknownst to both Vanir and Humans, Midgard is actually harboring stolen species from other worlds to feed the Asteri's hunger for magic.

Trivia
- In Germanic cosmology, Midgard (an anglicized form of Old Norse Miðgarðr; Old English Middangeard, Old Saxon Middilgard, Old High German Mittilagart, and Gothic Midjun-gards; "middle yard") is the name for Earth (equivalent in meaning to the Greek term οἰκουμένη, "inhabited") inhabited by gods and known to humans in early Germanic cosmology. The Old Norse form plays a notable role in Norse cosmology. [1]
