As part of the nobility, Lady Hawthorne wears an outward mask of kindness and warmth. When she sees Bryce Quinlan, however, she is cold and sneering towards her. Lady Hawthorne wants her daughter to become a princess. Tristan says she "survives in whatever way she can. She is ambitious and knows what she wants from life." She has power and money.
