Gorsian Stone is a material found on Midgard.

General Information[]

Not much is known about Gorsian Stone, from its origins to the full use of it. Gorsian Stone has a slight shine to it. Its most prominent feature is that it can stifle magic, and thus be used against the Vanir, as it is often the only way to capture them.

Uses[]

Gorsian Stone has been crafted into bullets and shackles to hurt a Vanir by slowing their healing abilities to near-human levels. As shackles, it can either have a chain connecting them or just be the wrist cuffs. Teleportation magic can be hindered by a gorsian bullet, which is designed to split apart into shrapnel upon impact and make sure the teleportation magic is suppressed for a long period of time.

A gorsian bullet was used in House of Sky and Breath when Pippa shoots Cormac. It goes straight through his shoulder and he is still able to summon his flames within moments.

It is used again in House of Flame and Shadow when Pollix shoots Tharion. Tharion nearly bleeds out, as he cannot heal himself, and Ruhn takes the antidote to the parasite, realizing he has long slumbering and potent healing magic. He saves Tharion just in time.
