Declan Emmet is a hacker and part of the Aux, as well as Ruhn Danaan and Tristan Flynn's best friend.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Declan comes from a wealthy, but not noble, Fae family. He had a relatively normal childhood, and thus is the most well-adjusted of him, Ruhn, and Tristan. His parents truly care about him. Tristan and Declan have been inseparable since birth and both have been best friends with Ruhn almost their entire lives.
About fifty years ago, Declan went through his Ordeal with Ruhn and Tristan. Afterwards, the three of them made the Drop. They have been roommates for the past fifty years, often partying together at their house. He has a lucrative career he's built on a foundation of hacking into the Republic's websites and then charging them ungodly amounts of money to reveal their critical weaknesses. Declan is also a member of the city's Auxiliary.

Personality[]
Declan does not appreciate anyone belittling his career as a hacker. Bryce claims Declan and Tristan are the biggest gossips in the city.
Physical Description[]
Declan has dark red hair and amber eyes, as well as a deep voice. Declan is always armed with at least one gun and wears a knife in his black boots, even in his own home.[1]

- Fae Physiology: As one of the Fae, Declan has enhanced senses and physical abilities, including a sense of smell much stronger than that of humans.
- Healing Magic: Declan is one of the few Fae who possesses the rare gift of healing.
- Immortality: Since he has made the Drop, Declan is immortal, which not only grants him a slowed and expanded lifespan but allows him to survive injuries that not even his accelerated healing would be able to regenerate from.

- Combat: Declan is trained in various forms of combat and a skilled warrior. Since he has trained his entire life to be a lethal, efficient killer, he's as well-trained as any of the angels' elite fighters.
- Hacker: Declan is well known for his hacker abilities.
Relationships[]
Ruhn Danaan[]
Declan and Ruhn have been best friends almost their entire lives, who are often seen around each other. The two of them and Flynn used to live together for almost fifty years and still serve in the Aux. Going through their Ordeals together cemented their bond.
Tristan Flynn[]
Declan and Flynn and have been best friends since childhood and practically have been inseparable since birth. Anything Declan knows, he automatically shares with Flynn in a matter of seconds. Going through their Ordeals together cemented their bond.
Marc Rosarin[]
Declan and Marc met during a fancy party at one of the big engineering companies in the Central Business District, and began dating.

- During a party, Declan is found with a Draki male draped over him and preening through his hair.[citation needed]
- Dec has a scar on his stomach, where Cormac Donnall pierced him with a blade during their Ordeal. It remains despite his Vanir healing.[1]
